Rescheduling & Cancelling
It is your right to cancel appointments or overall therapy at any time. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations, so others may benefit from the availability. If you do not cancel or appear at your scheduled time, you will be charged a full session fee.
Payments & Fees
Payments are made electronically using a HIPAA-secure, cashless system called Ivy Pay.
Counseling
$120 per clinical hour (45-55 minutes depending on where we are in the process/content of the session)
Public speaking
Email or call for inquiries; topics vary and pricing is based on presentation length, preparation time and distance travelled
Insurance
Managed-care companies require you to have a diagnosis. They also dictate session length, frequency and max number of sessions. Insurance companies and employers who provide the insurance can request access to your mental health records. For these reasons, Houston Family Therapy does not accept insurance. You can request a receipt for services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement on out-of-network benefits. We recommend you confirm with your insurance company that they will reimburse you; not all insurance providers do.
